After a 20 year career in residential building and remodeling, Tim hung up his tool belt in favor of a lock-box key and became a Realtor in 2010. A natural pull towards new construction due to his background has lead Tim into the New Homes arena of Real Estate. While maintaining a steady supply of resale buyers and sellers, Tim spends a majority of his time at new construction projects including: single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums. He has been fortunate enough to align with a few builders around town and is currently listing and selling their products. In some cases these are completed new homes while others are build jobs. Tim has the right experience and enjoys working through the build process with his clients. He relieves the worry and uncertainty that many folks feel when stepping into this adventure.
Years of education and hands-on experience with energy efficient and sustainably built homes also lends itself to a specialization in the field of green homes. Green building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. Tim is qualified to be your source for all types of green construction and he enjoys helping buyers and sellers of energy-efficient homes. He has the S.T.A.R. designation from the Earth Advantage Institute; he is Energy Star qualified and Earth Craft House knowledgeable. Tim maintains relationships with several builders in the Richmond area building "green". He would love to be your connection to those builders.
